A Chinese man donning a fake Rolex leans back in his leather chair. “So I understand you need help with a few items?” he asks his table partner in Cantonese. A slim man with a long face sits across from him. He dons a leather jacket with slippers. “I move several cars overseas. My last banker? Unfortunately got—” he puts a gun to his head and pulls the trigger “...over some gambling debt.”

“No problem. Three Harmonies Bank can help you. Somebody pay you in Macau? They give money to a deposit there. You get some money from a BC deposit. Is simple.” — “What’s the cut?” — “Three percent per transaction.” Horseface nods. “Three percent a lot.”

“Not more than what you would have to pay via bookie. Here, there is no shipping. No expansive wiring, laundering, smurfs. All that stuff that comes to concealment. Is plain simple. We a bank.” — “No IRA checking the books.” The man nods at Horseface. “We completely off the record.”
